Two premier ensembles and nine regional active-duty bands stationed worldwide. Regional band musicians with qualifying college credits (45 semester hours) enter at E-3 ($2,837/mo base). USAF Band premier members enter at E-6 Technical Sergeant ($3,401/mo base). The premier band features the Singing Sergeants vocal ensemble, Airmen of Note jazz band, and Max Impact.
Training
Basic Military Training at JBSA-Lackland, TX (7.5 weeks), then Airman's Week. Regional musicians with 45+ college credits enter at E-3. Premier band members enter at E-6 (Technical Sergeant).

E-3 (regional) / E-6 (premier) — base pay plus BAH, BAS, and special duty pays
