Is my donation tax-deductible?

Cadenza is operated by Kalinklo Ltd, a Hong Kong commercial company — not a registered charity — so donations that support Cadenza are not tax-deductible, and your receipt is a payment confirmation rather than a charitable tax receipt. Where you give to a specific organization through its own page, deductibility depends on that organization’s legal status. Cadenza does not provide tax advice; please consult your tax advisor.

Can I donate anonymously?

Yes. Tick the “Donate anonymously” box and your name won’t appear on the public donor wall. We still send your receipt by email.

Can I donate to a specific organization or event?

Where enabled, organizations have their own /donate page accessible from their profile. Event-specific donations are available on event pages that have an active fundraising campaign.

Will I get a confirmation?

Yes. After payment you’ll be redirected to a thank-you page and you’ll receive a confirmation email with your donation reference.

What happens if I add a fee top-up?

Card processing costs roughly 3.4% + $0.30. When the “Cover the fees” box is on, that estimated cost is added to your gift so processing doesn’t reduce it. For gifts to Cadenza itself (this page) there is no platform fee, so the entire amount reaches the cause. Gifts made to a specific organization, event, or campaign carry a 5% Cadenza platform fee, which is deducted from the gift.
