Bassoon – Substitute Position

Auditions are open for Bassoon substitutes for the 2026‑27 season of the Longwood Symphony Orchestra. Applicants must submit two contrasting selections (or one selection plus an orchestral excerpt) for an 8‑10 minute unaccompanied audition. Auditions will be held in‑person on Sunday, August 23, 2026 (2 pm‑7 pm) at Nathaniel Topliff Allen Homestead, Newton, MA, and on Monday, August 24, 2026 (6 pm‑9 pm) at United Parish Brookline, Brookline, MA. Video auditions are also accepted. Preference is given to registrations received by August 15, 2026. Results will be notified by early September.
