Apprentice - Engineering Services & Maintenance Apprenticeship

Apprenticeship starting September 2026: fixed-term contract for 4 years, full time (40 hours per week), £26,436.80 per annum, based at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. RBO is one of the busiest theatres in the world, delivering more than 400 performances each year, and the apprenticeship scheme is how it brings fresh talent into the building. The apprentice works within the Estates & Facilities team in Covent Garden while working towards a Building Services Engineering Service and Maintenance Engineer Level 3 Apprenticeship delivered by Choice Training in Dagenham. Pay is National Living Wage, rising by 2.5% after successfully completing the first year; apprentices pay their own travel, while college fees are paid by the Royal Ballet and Opera. Eligibility: must be 18 or over by 7 September 2026, have UK work authorisation, have been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least the past three consecutive years, must not already hold a degree or equivalent-level qualification anywhere, and must not have over six months' experience in a similar role.
