Japan Jazz Pop Piano Competition 2027 – International Jazz & Pop Piano Competition

Japan Jazz Pop Piano Competition (JJPPC) is an international jazz and pop piano competition based in Tokyo, Japan, welcoming pianists from Japan and around the world. The competition is dedicated to jazz, pop, improvisation, arrangement, and creative piano performance. JJPPC provides opportunities for pianists of different ages and backgrounds to develop their individuality, creativity, and musical expression beyond the boundaries of traditional classical piano competitions. Participants can compete in divisions designed for performers, creators, and pianists with different musical specializations and experience levels. From 2027, JJPPC plans to introduce online participation, making the competition accessible to pianists worldwide, while continuing its live competition activities in Tokyo. We welcome jazz and pop pianists, improvisers, arrangers, creative musicians, and classically trained pianists interested in exploring new forms of piano performance.
