Second Bassoon (Core, Tenure Track)

Core, tenure-track Second Bassoon position with the Virginia Symphony Orchestra. Live audition October 20 & 21, 2026 in Norfolk, Virginia; deadline for receipt of materials September 22, 2026. 2026-27 salary $36,703.80 plus $475.00 Electronic Media Guarantee and $1,468.08 optional community engagement, for total compensation of $38,646.88. The VSO performs a 36-week season including classical, pops, family, ballet and opera repertoire, and positions receive a 7.194% AFM pension. This tenure-track position is scheduled to begin with the 2026-2027 season. Non-citizens must have US work authorization for employment.
