Symphony on the Prairie Event Staff – Summer Seasonal

Seasonal, part-time position in Venue Operations assisting with event management for Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra events at Conner Prairie from June through September, reporting to the Event Manager. Roles rotate based on schedule and availability and include North Gate/Apple Rear (ticket taking, selling tickets and directing parking on entry and egress), Golf Cart (safely transporting patrons to ground entrances and parking areas), Lawn Lead (supervising general seating areas, pathways and playground), Reserved Seating Lead, Patron Services tent, and the Huntington Bank Sunset Lounge. Duties include clearly communicating venue policies and demonstrating volunteer assignments, responding to patron requests including accessibility issues and complaints, routinely checking in with volunteers, and assisting Event Managers with responses to emergency situations. Requires a high school diploma or GED; concert event management or arts-venue volunteering preferred. Must be available nights, weekends and select holidays June to September, able to stand for extended periods, lift 35 pounds unassisted and work outdoors in heat, direct sun and rain.
