Post the audition.Lock the draw.Run it blind.
Section, principal, concertmaster, sub, or music-director — your first audition posts free, in front of the musicians already searching Cadenza. Then run it the way a committee can defend: blind scoring, candidate numbers, a recorded, re-verifiable draw — and sell the season on the same platform.

This is the actual product
Audition day, on one screen.
Every screenshot below is our demonstration organization’s real Cadenza audition round — a locked seeded draw, a part-way check-in desk, a blind panel mid-scoring. Not a mockup.

Front desk
Check candidates in without a clipboard.
Scan the candidate’s QR pass or search by number. Arrival is written once and timestamped, so the record can’t be quietly rewritten later.
- QR pass scan or search by number
- Arrived, no-show, and withdrawn in one tap
- Accompanist assignments on the row

The screen stays up
A committee that never sees a name.
Each juror scores by audition number against your weighted criteria — identity is stripped server-side, so it cannot leak to the panel.
- Blind by audition number, enforced at the API
- Weighted criteria you define
- Scores queue offline if the hall wifi drops

Results
A ranked list you can defend to the union.
Weighted aggregate by audition number with the arithmetic shown, plus a fairness pack — register, draw verification, check-in log, scores, decisions — in one export.
- Blind leaderboard with per-criterion detail
- Advance the top N in one action
- One export answers the grievance

Make your next audition the easy one.
Post the audition free; run the whole day on the Audition Day Pass when the cycle opens.
The alternative
One more audition on paper ballots is a bet.
Every result you can't reconstruct is a result you may one day defend from memory — to a candidate, a committee, or a union rep.
The order challenge
“Why did I play last, cold, at 6 pm?” With a shuffle, the answer is a shrug. With a recorded seed, it’s a verification anyone can run.
The grievance file
A grievance lands months later — whose ballots survive? The fairness pack is one export: register, draw, check-in log, scores, decisions.
The 6 pm sub scramble
A principal out at 6 pm with the list in a drawer is a personnel manager’s worst evening. An opt-in roster with doublings is a lookup.
Audition season is fall and spring. The draw must be locked before schedules go out.

Frequently asked questions
- Is it really free to post?
- Yes. A claimed profile, unlimited event listings, and your first audition are free — no card required. Additional single postings are $249, or unlimited on an annual pass. Hiring OS Pro adds the full hiring suite and the blind Audition OS, plus ticketing analytics, season subscriptions, and the patron CRM; featured placement is a one-time boost available on any plan.
- Can we run a real, screened audition?
- Yes — this is what Cadenza was built for. The candidate’s recording and live round go on the committee’s screen behind a screen-equivalent: anonymous candidate numbers, no names, audition times assigned by a recorded random draw you can re-verify, check-in, round advancement, and an auditable fairness trail. The whole season on one screen.
- We hold auditions once or twice a year — what’s the cheapest way?
- The Audition Day Pass runs a full season’s blind audition for $299 (founding; $499 standing), good for 60 days — applications, prescreen media, jury scoring, candidate numbers, the recorded draw, and check-in. No $4,800/yr commitment until you run several a year.
- How is this different from Tessitura or PatronManager?
- Cadenza is built for classical music at a fraction of the cost. Gift history, automatic donation acknowledgments, tags, and lifetime giving are included with any annual posting pass (official tax language is available only after Cadenza verifies complete jurisdiction-specific issuer evidence) — no five-figure license and no long implementation.
- What does ticketing cost?
- Ticketing is $0 to set up with no monthly fee — just 7% + $0.99 per order, paid by the buyer. You keep 100% of every ticket’s face value and can issue full refunds (price + fee) from the dashboard.
- Do we have to sign a contract?
- No. Every paid plan is a fixed one-year term billed once, with renewal reminders before it ends so you decide whether to continue. Nothing auto-renews — when the term is up you choose whether to buy another year, and access continues through the period you already paid for.
Post your audition today. Run it fairly this season.
List your section, principal, or sub opening free — then run the screened blind audition when you’re ready. No contract, no card to start.
