Online Jazz Bass Faculty — Upright & Electric (Remote, Worldwide)

The Global Conservatory·Remote, Worldwide

Deadline

Dec 31, 2026

Compensation

Paid per lesson taught — rates agreed with each faculty member. No salary, no minimum hours, no exclusivity.

The walking line is jazz's heartbeat. TGC needs bassists who can teach students to make a band feel good. YOUR STUDIO Teach walking-line construction and voice leading, time feel and hookup with drums, soloing vocabulary, upright technique and amplification, electric doubling, and repertoire across the tradition. THE ROLE, PLAINLY: this is per-lesson faculty work. You are paid for every lesson you teach — no salary, no minimum hours, no exclusivity. You keep your career, your existing students, and your city. TGC matches students to your studio, handles scheduling, billing, and safeguarding; you teach live on Zoom from wherever you live. You may also offer group classes and ticketed masterclasses — you choose your formats and set your calendar. Full-term studio cohorts are in development. WHY TGC The Global Conservatory (TGC) is a live online conservatory: 75 internationally accomplished faculty across 14 countries, 55+ certificate programmes, and eight active divisions — Performance & Vocal, Opera & Vocal Arts, World Music, NextGen Music & AI, Health & Wellness, Pedagogy Institute, Orchestral Training, and Composition & Theory. Ballet & Dance and Drama & Theatre launch in 2027, with Music Business following in autumn 2027. Every lesson is live — no pre-recorded courses, no AI substitutes for the teacher–student relationship. APPLYING — AND WHAT HAPPENS NEXT Apply on Cadenza with your CV, video links, and references.
