Online Kora Faculty — Tradition-Bearer (Remote, Worldwide)

The Global Conservatory·Remote, Worldwide

Deadline

Dec 31, 2026

Compensation

Paid per lesson taught — rates agreed with each faculty member. No salary, no minimum hours, no exclusivity.

Twenty-one strings and seven centuries of griot memory — the kora is West Africa's harp of stories. YOUR STUDIO Teach kumbengo (accompaniment patterns) and birimintingo (solo runs), the Mandé repertoire and its histories, tuning systems, and the griot tradition of song and story as you inherited it. THE ROLE, PLAINLY: this is per-lesson faculty work. You are paid for every lesson you teach — no salary, no minimum hours, no exclusivity. You keep your career, your existing students, and your city. TGC matches students to your studio, handles scheduling, billing, and safeguarding; you teach live on Zoom from wherever you live. You may also offer group classes and ticketed masterclasses — you choose your formats and set your calendar. Full-term studio cohorts are in development. WHY TGC The Global Conservatory (TGC) is a live online conservatory: 75 internationally accomplished faculty across 14 countries, 55+ certificate programmes, and eight active divisions — Performance & Vocal, Opera & Vocal Arts, World Music, NextGen Music & AI, Health & Wellness, Pedagogy Institute, Orchestral Training, and Composition & Theory. Ballet & Dance and Drama & Theatre launch in 2027, with Music Business following in autumn 2027. Every lesson is live — no pre-recorded courses, no AI substitutes for the teacher–student relationship. APPLYING — AND WHAT HAPPENS NEXT Apply on Cadenza with your CV, video links, and references.
